And it fits! And it's pretty cute! I don't normally make myself clothes, it intimidates me. I sew a lot but don't really have a lot of patience to follow patterns. It has to be pretty easy, and able to be finished in one day. If I can't finish a pattern in one day I usually won't finish it at all. After reading a very inspiring post at Berlin's Whimsy, I used the same pattern she did and am very happy with the results. Her version with the little embroidered mushroom is absolutely beautiful. I love how Simplicity 4589 can be modified so much, looks cute and doesn't require a ton of fabric. I think I'll be more likely to make myself things since I like how this turned out. I've worn this once and am really happy with the fit. It's nice and light for summer.
