What a fun, exhausting day! For all 4 of us (Dustin, myself, Lucy and doggie Oliver)! In the morning we walked in the pet parade in Bend - so much fun! When I was little I walked a goat in it. Yes, a goat. I haven't been in it since! Now that I have my own little family I have an excuse to do dorky/fun things like that again. All 4 (yes, even the dog) of us wore red, white and blue. I talked my younger brother Micah into going with us too but he wore a "Somebody in Iraq Loves Me" shirt with a picture of the Iraq flag, but that's another story. :) Anyways, if you got there a little early they had all the supplies to decorate your dog/stroller/wagon/etc. We decked out Lucy's stroller - the designer in me wanted to cringe at the end result but at least it was festive! There were so many people there! Both in the parade and watching. There were so many different kinds of animals too! I think the cutest were ducks in a cage being pulled on a wagon. There was a frog in a wagon, chickens, horses, tons of dogs and probably many more that I didn't see. Here's a few pictures:
The funny thing was, Lucy got really mad in her stroller right before the parade was to start. I ended up carrying Lucy the whole way with her little head resting on my shoulder, Dustin walked Oliver and poor Micah had to push the empty stroller. We had fun though! Lucy was waving to the crowd off and on the whole time which was really cute. My Mom came down from Salem for the weekend in time to watch the parade. She yelled at us as we were going by but we didn't hear her so she just joined us walking in the parade! It was so nice to have her over. I'm a little sad that she's back in Salem now - Love you Mom!
We all look a little weird in this picture but I think it's cute. This is after the parade. From left: Lucy, me, my Mom, Micah
That evening we went to a Fourth of July barbeque at my Dad's house (shishkabobs, mmmm) and did some fireworks and sparklers. What did you end up doing on the 4th?
Awww, you guys are all so cute! Micah cracks me up! I love your hair, too!
Your mom is looking great, and it is nice to see pics of everyone together and happy!
and Lucy's little feet and shoes are adorable!!!!!

Thanks Holly! I've been lightening my hair. I'm still not quite used to it though. :)
