Especially in the fall! My latest project is a big striped stuffed snake for Lucy, I just finished it today! It's a little ugly but enabled me to use up all my tiny balls of yarn that I don't know what else to do with. I figured she wouldn't care too much. It ended up longer than she is and I honestly can't tell what she thinks of it. She's a little disgruntled today and is mad at pretty much everything right now. :) Maybe tomorrow she'll like it, we'll see. At least Dustin likes it. It's from this book, which also has a lot of other very cute patterns.
I will spare you the many pictures I have of Lucy looking angry from today.
These are my new beautiful handspun yarns that I got here, in Sisters. They do a wonderful job on their handspun yarn and seem more inexpensive than online shops. Plus I love looking at all the different colors and feeling the textures, something I can't do online. I can't wait to knit with them! They have spinning classes too, I think I will try to take one this winter. It's something I've always wanted to learn how to do.
Other knitted projects in the works are a knitted pumpkin for Lucy's nature table and a little wool vest for Lucy to wear this winter.
I'm trying to ignore all the crazy and scary things in the news from today, for the time being I think I'll just keep knitting. ;) It's a good way to work things out in my mind.
I love the snake! It is adorable! I feel the same way with doing stuff around the house like cooking, it just clears my mind completely, but I can't even watch the news because it makes me way too freaked out!
