The other week I bought a laminator, both for my crafts and because I've always wanted one, and I've been having so much fun making things for Lucy with it! I love how it makes paper sturdy enough to withstand toddler play. I found free playsets to print for toddlers here, printed them, cut them out and laminated them. Then I made little pouches to keep them in out of paper, put a picture on them of what they were and covered them in packing tape so they would hold up. Lucy loves them!

I've really been trying to be more concious of the money I spend and trying to be less of a consumer, and I love that she likes the practically free toys just as much as her other toys!
What a great idea. I like how intent and focused Lucy always looks when she is put something together in photos.
My mom made a lot of my toys growing up, and even though I am ashamed to admit that I sometimes took it for granted, it really did make a difference for me, especially now that I am older.
Also, I love lucy's shirt in the pic! So pretty!

Thanks Amanda for the great idea. Ian will love this! I guess I will just have to find a laminator. Are they expensive?
