Oh my goodness, I have been so busy lately! Poor blog, I've been neglecting you. It's for good reasons though, my Etsy shop has been doing wonderfully well! I've been selling lots and lots of children and baby toys for Christmas. I'm so excited! This is the first year I've really had a lot of Holiday sales. It's a lot of work though! Especially trying to balance my family, my job, my Etsy shop and some other things I have going on the side. I did get a chance to decorate little corners of the house for Christmas on Sunday, which I was happy about. :)
This is Lucy's advent calender that I made about a week ago, it's made of recycled felted sweater scraps and wool felt. I hand embroidered all those numbers! That was before my Etsy shop started going crazy. The brown and red things sticking out of 14 and 15 are mushrooms for her nature table. And 13 is the behind of a handmade mouse. She also has some needle felted acorns and personalized Lucy bracelets in there. And bracelets for her baby dolls too. She doesn't quite understand the concept, but it's fun all the same.
My vintage sock monkeys and a sleigh. That sleigh is the first Christmas decoration Dustin and I bought together after we moved out, so I'll never get rid of it.
Ack - blurry! Sorry. :) Vintage ornaments up on a shelf
My wooden Noah's ark set and some fresh holly in a mason jar - I love setting up my Noah's ark every year! I consider it a Christmas decoration even though it's really not, I guess the trees look Christmassy?
My dear little deer collection. These are up on a shelf with Christmas lights under tulle for snow. I love those glittery cotton snowballs. The white velvety deer with the bell is my favorite, I love taking him out every year. The little brown velvety one with the blue eyes is a Goodwill find from last week. I can't pass them up!
How is your holiday decorating going? We still need to get a tree but I'm excited to have most of my things out. It feels cozy, especially since it's been so cold lately!
Wow! What can I say, this is all so wonderful! I love the advent calender! My mom made me something sort of like that when I was little.
And all you vintage christmas decorations, I would kill to have! It is just all so beautiful and perfect. I really enjoy seeing what you and betty are up to for the holidays!
