These are some pictures I took the other day at work (I'm a florist). The flower trucks come about 3 times a week and it's fun to see all the seasonal flowers every week! This week on the truck they had dahlias, mini cosmos and lots of wildflowers and seed pods, among the typical carnations and roses and things.
I think it's funny that since I've been doing this so long, flowers are just a part of work to be dealt with. It takes a special flower to snap me out of my work flow and really appreciate what I'm doing! I posted these because that's what those pink dahlias did for me. You wouldn't think you could get used to flowers and sort of ignore them, but you do! Even now when I pick flowers from the yard, my first thoughts are how to improve them. Remove these leaves, that petal, etc. I need to step back more often and just admire flowers as they are.
So very pretty! I want so badly to have flowers but they all seem to die on me in the heat of the South. xo
