This post is going to weird Dustin out. But I tend to do that to him a lot, so he's used to it. Sorry honey!
We don't get to spend a lot of time together, just the two of us, anymore. When we do get to go out, it's just like it used to be. Not a whole lot has changed, really. We have more responsibilities, more life stresses, less income. When it's just the two of us it's easy to forget about those things. We started dating when we were 15 (That sounds so ridiculously young), moved out of the house when we were 18, and got married when we were 22. We're 27 now. We're both just 2 weeks apart in age, hence the "we're 27". We've always had fun. We still have fun. I think that's important.
Last night we were able to get away to Bend Brewing for dinner and beers. Dustin and I are both complete beer snobs. I got it from my dad! And maybe it's a northwest thing? I've only ever had a beer like Coors or Bud once or twice in my life! They've all been microbrews. He had a buffalo burger and I had a steelhead sandwich with pear chutney, and a black IPA to drink! Yum!
We had such a fun, goofy evening. Before dinner, we went to Goodwill and found the best table/chairs set ever (pictures later). After dinner, we went shopping at Target for an hour and bought a shower curtain, pumpkin spice hershey kisses for me (which taste just like Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes without the coffee) and jujubes for him. It's hard picking out a shower curtain when you're a little, um, beerish. Dustin had to shush me a couple times. This is what I picked out, by the way.
Anyways, dates with my husband make me happy! I love spending time with him. Here's to many, many, many more. And here's to acting like teenagers. No matter what's going on in our lives.
Awwwww, you're such a nice wife! It didn't weird me out, I thought it was very sweet of you to do a post just about me. I love you so much! Our dates our very special to me too. It is nice to get away from all of the stresses of life, even if it is just for a few hours here and there.

This is a really good post Amanda, I just love to blog about your Dad and I's "dates", as you know. Yes I would agree with you, you are a "beer snob" but is that really a bad thing, I don't think so. You really need to try WILD BLUE its a blue berry lager by Blue Dawg Brewing. Your Dad found it at Rays Market in Sisters. On a different note and isn't it nice to know you can go out and have fun even when you don't have alot of money to spend. I think that is where the "sillyness" come's in. Love you guys, Betty
