I was signed up to do an online swap called "my dream house" but it sadly was canceled. I was kind of looking forward to it - You were supposed to write a letter to your partner describing your dream house and make a little piece of artwork to go with it. I decided I'd just write about it here instead. :)
My dream house is an old white farmhouse, like this, with a huge front porch and lots and lots of windows. It would be filled with fresh air and sunlight, have light wood floors with lots of rugs. Worn, soft, colorful rugs that feel nice under your feet. It would have french doors, a clawfoot bathtub, window seats (I've always wanted one) and a farmhouse sink in the kitchen. The kitchen would be cozy, with a window over the sink with a beautiful view, and would have white cupboards. Lots of them. :) It would have a big sun room with plants everywhere and bright tiles on the floor. Everything in the house would either be white or bright and saturated color like this. So pretty! Furniture would be a mix of vintage and modern. I want a house filled with love - animals and kids everywhere. I love lots of people around, dogs underfoot, cats meowing. But everything would always be somewhat clean. :) I want a house with good smells always coming from the kitchen, people laughing, sunlight everywhere, windows open. The yard would be filled with flowers all times of the year, growing wild and crazy with paths meandering through. Not very groomed. It would have a big vegetable garden and special garden just for herbs. It would have big trees all around, a willow tree that the kids play under, twisty baby trees, and maples. There would be secret little corners tucked away with benches and chairs and arches with hops and ivy growing wild around them. We would live on some land, enough for privacy and enough to have a few animals - chickens for eggs, alpacas and a goat. Just because they're cute. :)
I could have that someday, right?
Yes you can have this someday!!!!!
I will be sad if you don't!
Your family was made for this little vision you have. I have never heard of alpacas, they are so much cuter than emus. and emu are pretty darn cute. The linked photo was so cute that it made them look a little animatronic (that is the term form disney puppet/robot or like the chuckie cheese robot animals)
I want to do a post soon of my dream lifestyle for the future, if you don't mind!
Also, your home is beautiful! I don't think I could ever be in a bad mood there. It is so bright and cheery. We are both amazed on what a great little life you and Dustin have made for each other. and for lucy

Awww, thank you! I love my house too but I do really want an old house with more character. :) Someday. You can totally do a post like this, I'd love to hear about it! Dustin and I absolutely love alpacas. If you and Casey go to Hood River, definitely stop here: http://www.hoodriverfruitloop.com/members/cascade_alpacas.html
You can feed the alpacas, and in the spring a lot of the time they have babies, they're so cute and fuzzy headed! Both times we've been there the owners have taken us on a little tour of their farm. Alpaca fiber is one of my favorites to knit with. Dustin picked out some yarn at the Foothills Fiber place that had been spun from the wool of one of the alpacas he liked and I made him a hat out of it! He loves it. :)

That sounds like a beautiful home. I know that I really want french doors in my house too! I hope to someday have a clawfoot tub as well. I just have a shower, no tub. I am hoping to have enough money saved up next summer to re-design my bathroom. I have seem some clawfoot tub shower kits on the internet. I would love to get one!
